Project Overview
Project Details
The US 23/SR 762 Improvement Project in Harrison Township, Pickaway County, will upgrade the high-speed at-grade intersection by constructing a new diamond interchange with US 23 elevated over SR 762. This $74 million safety and congestion-reduction initiative, led by ODOT, is designed to support growing commercial activity near the Rickenbacker logistics hub and to improve long-term traffic operations. The preferred alternative minimizes environmental impacts and requires the least amount of new right-of-way among feasible designs, but ODOT will still need to acquire portions of private property to complete the interchange. In these situations, eminent domain attorneys play a critical role in guiding landowners through the right-of-way process, ensuring fair treatment, evaluating offers, and securing just compensation for any property interests the state must obtain.
