Project Details
The TransWest Express Transmission Project is a proposed extra high voltage, direct current overhead transmission line that would run about 728 miles from south-central Wyoming, crossing Colorado and Utah, to the Marketplace Hub about 25 miles south of Las Vegas, Nevada. TransWest received a record of decision approving the project in January 2017.
TransWest Express is a planned multi-state transmission line in the western United States. The $3 billion dollar 600kV transmission line will span approximately 730 miles across four states. The project will cross a large amount of public land with most of the private land affected located in Utah.
