Project Overview

  • Location of Project: Missouri

  • Type of Project: Road

  • Timeline: 2023-2024

Project Details

The Missouri Department of Transportation will enhance Route K in Reynolds and Iron Counties, from 2.5 miles east of Route 21 near Ellington to 1.3 miles west of Route 49 near Annapolis. The project involves improving nine curves, including widening one, adding edgeline rumble stripes to eight curves, and installing a guardrail at one curve. Right-of-way acquisition is needed only for the curve widening.

Route K is reduced to one lane with a 14-foot width restriction. Flaggers will guide motorists through the work zone as new pavement is integrated with the existing road.
