Project Overview
Project Details
The proposed project aims to bring natural gas to support one of TVA’s potential power generation options for replacing the Kingston Fossil Plant. This shift from coal to natural gas would offer Tennessee residents a cleaner energy source with fewer carbon emissions as we look ahead.
The project entails installing approximately 117 miles of 30-inch pipeline looping, along with an 8-mile 24-inch lateral and one electric-powered compressor station. To minimize impact on landowners and the environment, the pipeline route will largely follow the existing system’s right-of-way.
By leveraging existing infrastructure, the project seeks to facilitate the transition to cleaner energy sources while minimizing disruptions to communities and ecosystems.
