Current Situation
The Missouri Department of Transportation has a two-year project planned for Route 231 (Telegraph Road) between Franru and the Meramec River. This project will update roadway signals and pedestrian facilities, followed by resurfacing the road. Sidewalks and crosswalks north of Christopher will be upgraded to meet ADA requirements, and some sidewalks will be connected. Many signals along the corridor will also be updated.
Improvements Being Made
The project includes upgrading sidewalks and pedestrian signals to meet ADA standards. Intersections at Sappington Barracks, Forder, Yeager, Baumgardner, Gebhardt, and Blackforest will be rebuilt, and remaining signals along the corridor will be updated.
