Project Details

Rocky Mountain Power, operating as PacifiCorp, is working on obtaining permits for the Limber to Terminal transmission expansion project in Utah. This project is part of PacifiCorp’s broader Energy Gateway Transmission Expansion program, which aims to meet future energy needs efficiently by connecting clean energy sources across the Western region.

The plan involves constructing a high-voltage transmission line from the proposed Limber substation near Grantsville, Utah, to the Terminal substation in Salt Lake City. The project includes about 56 miles of new transmission lines, the establishment of a new substation, upgrades to two existing substations, and some rerouting of existing transmission lines. This expansion is intended to improve reliability and facilitate the integration of various clean energy resources into the grid.
