The Central Indiana Grid Expansion Project is 42 total miles of new transmission lines, split into 11 miles of 345 kV, 16.5 miles of 138 kV, and 14 miles of 69 kV lines. The project includes construction of three new electric substations. Groundbreaking is slated for 2026, with an expected completion target in 2027. The project is designed to handle rapid commercial load growth, population shifts, and industrial expansion tied to the LEAP district.
