The Kendall County Highway Department will hold a public hearing on the extension of Eldamain Road, including a bridge over the Fox River.
One of the several choices for the lost Prarie Parkway money, Eldamain Road has long been considered a viable project for IDOT.
The hearing will focus on the phase one engineering for the road from Route 34 to Walker Road. That includes the proposed bridge and the approaches. The project is estimated to cost about $50 million, about $35 million for construction and about $15 million for widening the approaches.
The hearing will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the highway department, 6780 Route 47 in Yorkville.
SEVER STOREY NOTE: Do not expect many answers to your questions at this public meeting. IDOT Public Meetings are known for being bare bones and in many respects, a dog and pony show. For the real answers to your questions, come to one of our seminars or give us a call at 1-888-318-3761.
