Officials from both IDOT and INDOT will be hosting another round of open houses for the much anticipated, highly-controversial Illiana Corridor–a 47 mile long swath of land on which the Illiana Expressway is anticipated to traverse–this April, and as expected, attorneys from Sever Storey will be present.
Attorneys Jordan Walker and Phil Sever were present at the landowners-only meetings in Peotone and Lowell last month, assisting both current clients and curious landowners. Many people felt overwhelmed by the presentation and left the meetings dissatisfied with INDOT/IDOT’s (lack of) concrete answers to pertinent questions. Sever Storey did its best to give the cold hard truthful answers to these questions. And we will be doing it again at the upcoming open houses.
The purpose of the upcoming open house meetings is to explain the second tier of the process, which includes refinement of the preferred corridor, interchange locations and layout, determining overpass and underpass opportunities, environmental analysis and continued stakeholder outreach.
The dates and times of the open houses are as follows:
Illinois Meeting
April 16
Peotone High School
605 W. North St., Peotone.
5-8 CST 6-9 EST
Indiana Meeting
April 18
Lowell Middle School
19250 Cline Ave.
Lowell, IN
5-8 CST/6-9 EST
