Area landowners expressed opposition and support at an open house in Logansport Tuesday regarding preliminary route options through the area for a project to construct new electric lines from Greentown to Reynolds.
The project is a joint effort between the Northern Indiana Public Service Co. and Pioneer Transmission — a joint venture of Duke Energy and American Electric Power. Titled the Greentown-Reynolds project, it will ultimately connect Duke Energy’s Greentown substation east of Kokomo to NIPSCO’s substation in Reynolds.
