Sever Storey representatives will be in Marshall, IL for the third round of public meetings on the Illinois Rivers transmission line. A legal representative will be present, ready to answer any questions landowners may have.
The 330-mile line will stretch from Palmyra, Mo., to Sugar Creek, Ind., near Terre Haute. The line is part of a latticework of electric system upgrades known as the Illinois Rivers Project that will connect generation sites to the west with customers to the east and provide a conduit for alterative energy sources, such as wind and hydropower.
Construction costs are estimated at $890 million to $1.4 billion.
Ameren has chosen a route and will begin land acquisition soon.
Meeting details are as follows:
5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
