A Will County judge will determine Friday whether IDOT has the ability to acquire land for the proposed South Suburban Aiport via condemnation lawsuits.
The Barbour family, owners of $3.9 million of real estate in the proposed blueprint of the long anticipated, much disputed South Suburban Airport, have challenged IDOT’s authority to acquire land due to the uncertainty over the airport’s future. The Barbours are arguing that because final approval for the airport has not been granted by the FAA.
