Route 53 Extension Could See Much More in Land Acquisition

While much of the land necessary for the Route 53 extension into Lake County has already been acquired, the total land required for the project appears to be still in private hands.

Based on a June Summary Report of the proposed 53/120 project, around $200-$350 million more in land acquisition will be necessary to make the project come to fruition.
