Proposed Dakota Access Pipeline causing concern for residents

 

LEE COUNTY, IOWA — A Texas-based company wants to build a crude oil pipeline through Southeast Iowa and several Illinois counties.

According to documents filed in Iowa and Illinois, Energy Transfer out of Houston-Texas filed the request for the pipeline Tuesday.

The request would provide additional transportation for domestically produced crude-oil, but that doesn’t seem to be enough to excite property owners whose land would be used.

Lee County resident Judy Wells is a little concerned about the proposed Dakota Access Pipeline because it would be built on her property.
