Progress continues on the proposed construction of the 76 mile long gas pipeline known as the Ohio Pipeline Energy Network Project.
On June 24, 2014 the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issued its latest notice which identifies the planned schedule for the completion of the Environmental Assessment for this project. This latest notice follows the February Notice of Application which alerted the appropriate agencies of the need to complete and submit reviews so that a final decision could be made on the request for federal authorization of the project.
Moving forward, FERC announced that the issuance of the Environmental Assessment will now occur on or around August 15, 2014, followed by the 90-day Federal Authorization Decision deadline of November 13, 2014.
