Local Lawmakers Pushing to Speed up I-74 Bridge Project

 

Lawmakers in the Quad Cities area, along with other US House members, have introduced the “Safe Bridges Act,” legislation that would call for $5.5 billion to replace and repair bridges throughout the country.

Most notalbly, however, this would allocate funds to the proposed I-74 bridge replacement project.

Money would be apportioned to states depending on their respective need for bridge replacement and repair.
