Work is moving forward in IDOT’s attempts to expand John Deere Road in Moline, IL to six lanes from 16th Street to 70th Street and put an overpass in at 38th Street and that work is going to force the displacement of five homes on either side of IL 5.
IDOT says there’s no cost-effective way to avoid the homes so they plan to make offers on the properties affected by around Christmas and help pay for moving costs.
