John Deere Road Project in Moline Delayed

Because of “environmental permitting issues,” the John Deere Road Project in Moline, Ill., will be delayed until later this year, per IDOT.

Jae Miller, Chief Communication Officer with IDOT, told the WQAD News the project, is now scheduled for a June 2013 letting with Phase 1 construction set to begin likely in August or September.

The project, which will add an overpass at 38ths St., and widen John Deere Rd/IL 5 from I-74 to just past 70th St, is set to take 3 years. Sever Storey has already held one seminar on the project and will likely hold more in the future to address landowner concerns.
