Some Eastern Iowa landowners continue to fight against a high power transmission line through the Midwest.
Late last month, the Illinois Commerce Commission approved a portion of the project through that state.
The project is called the Rock Island Clean Line.
The line would originate in O’Brien County, go through 16 Iowa counties, and continue through to Grundy County, Illinois.
It’s estimated to generate wind energy for about 1.5 million homes a year.
Kim and Ted Junker have been farming for more than 20 years.
The high voltage transmission line is proposed to go through 3 parcels of land that they farm.
