I-75 Seminar in Cincinnati a Success

Tuesday January 29th the eminent domain attorneys at Sever Storey, LLP hosted an informational seminar for landowners affected by the I-75 Thru the Valley project in Hamilton County, Ohio.  Attendance was good with approximately 15 landowners attending.  Attorney George Padgitt presented information regarding the project, the eminent domain process, and compensation to the attendees and fielded questions.

Many of the landowners had offers from the City/State in hand, but many were uncertain when an eventual condemnation suit might be initiated.  Funding for construction of the project has been delayed due to ODOT’s recent budget issues, which means that the City/State may not be in a hurry to condemn any resistant property owners.  Still, right-of-way agents are actively seeking to strike deals with landowners as we speak.
