House Approves $1.1 Billion Road, Bridge Plan

 

The Illinois House on Thursday voted overwhelmingly to approve a $1.1 billion road construction bill.

The plan does not call for any new revenues to pay off the bonds that will be issued to finance the construction.

Instead, the state will use money that had been dedicated to repaying Illinois First bonds, but where the bonds have been repaid.
