The Illinois Tollway awarded the design contract for the planned Elgin O’Hare Bypass recently, marking another step forward in the Tollway’s plan to implement western access to O’Hare. The contract was awarded to Exp US Services, Inc., for $5.5 million.
Sources indicate that a design should be finalized in early 2013, with land acquisition coming soon thereafter.
