EDITORIAL: South Suburban Airport “Bullying” Will County

Story here.

Eastern Will County has been in the gun sight of state government for a long time, sort of like the Kurds, who are menaced by aggressive neighbors on all sides.

Now a judge in Joliet has ruled in favor of the Illinois Department of Transportation to force eminent domain on the brave Peotone footprint holdouts. How can anyone expect Illinois, which has failed at everything, to build and run a huge airport and tollway?

Their wild job projections will prove to be Mascoutah-style lies. Cost overruns will be the norm. Outsiders might profit, but the people who live anywhere near here will be the ones to pay and suffer for it. Bullying is plain wrong!
