Never before had I been embarrassed to be a Hoosier. When I saw the picture of Indiana Gov. Mike Pence and Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn, then read the article regarding the proposed Illiana Expressway project, I couldn’t believe my eyes.
For our governor to expound accolades upon a governor from Illinois who is a laughingstock around the country, then partnering with him in a project only meant to help Illinois, was more than an embarrassment. It was degrading and disheartening.
I hope Pence will come to his senses and reject his position in favor of other projects that put Indiana first, people, county and state.
