By a unanimous 5 to 0 vote in a regularly scheduled Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) meeting last week, Rock Island Clean Line successfully moved their proposed high voltage wind energy (HVDC) transmission line project forward. Wind energy from the three-state area of NW Iowa, SE South Dakota and SW Minnesota could eventually go from O’Brien County in NW Iowa to Grundy County, in eastern IL.
