Ameren Transmission continues to acquire land for a major electrical transmission line which will run through Illinois.
On Thursday, the Illinois Commerce Commission gave authority to Ameren Transmission to seek eminent domain on four properties in Cass County, as well as another fifteen in Schuyler County.
These properties will be used for the Illinois Rivers Project, which is a 330-mile transmission line which is needed for improved efficiency and to prevent further outages.
