Greuling says turmoil at IDOT should not slow down Illiana

 

Ann Schneider’s recently resigned as head of the Illinois Department of Transportation, due to concerns about political hiring at her agency.  However John Greuling, president and CEO for Will County Center for Economic Development, said he believes there will not be long lasting negative impact on Illiana Expressway.  He points out that Schneider is only one person and the entire administration of Governor Pat Quinn has been supportive of Will County and the Illiana Expressway. It was expressed that her resignation could have some negative impact at first but it will not last long.  Right now the delay comes from the US Fish and Wildlife Service about the potential impact on endangered species.
