BREAKING: Illiana Submits Proposed Route to Feds for Approval

In an event supposed to occur sometime at the end of 2012, the Illiana Expressway submitted its proposed plans and route path to the federal government in its FEIS (federal environmental impact study) for approval this week.

The expediancy in which both Indiana and Illinois Departments of Transportation supplied this FEIS means land acquisition for the controversial highway will begin as soon as the federal government approves the plan (potentially winter 2012).
